A new Counterpoint Research report shows that the iPhone 17 lineup led the market in Q4 2025, with its core models taking the top three spots and cementing Apple’s presence in the top 10 best-selling smartphones for the period. here are the details.

counterpoint research is new report It turns out that Apple took five spots in the top 10 best-selling smartphones in the last quarter of 2025, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max leading the way, followed by the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro.
The iPhone 16 came in fourth place, while the iPhone 16e remained in eighth place. The iPhone Air did not make the top 10.

Samsung took four spots with the Galaxy A56 (#5), Galaxy A36 (#6), Galaxy A07 (#7), and Galaxy S25 (#10), while Xiaomi took the ninth spot on the list with the Redmi A5.
Counterpoint says that “the top 10 smartphones contributed 23% of global sales for the quarter,” with the iPhone 17 Pro Max alone contributing 5%.
Throughout the year, Apple consistently maintained iPhone models in Counterpoint’s top 10 list, firmly holding the top three spots, while Samsung and Xiaomi traded off on a quarter-by-quarter basis, except for Q3, in which Xiaomi did not appear.
Counterpoint’s report also revealed that the iPhone 16 was the only iPhone model to appear in the top 10 during the entire year, leading every ranking except the last.
