Former Prince Andrew is reportedly making frequent calls to King Charles after being ordered to leave the Royal Lodge amid growing controversy over his past relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking to a US-based entertainment site, a source said that the former Duke of York has been calling Charles almost daily to keep in touch despite their strained relationship.
This came after the King stripped Andrew of his titles and honors and asked him to leave the Royal Lodge.
“Charles is continuing to take daily, almost pleading calls on Andrew’s behalf because, frankly, he doesn’t feel he has the freedom to completely close that door.
“There is very real concern within the palace about how Andrew might respond if he were completely cut off, and that uncertainty is driving many of the king’s decisions right now. This is not a relationship that is being maintained warmly – it is much more strategic than that.”
