Jason Momoa is once again making headlines for narrowly escaping danger.
According to Radar Online, the Aquaman star found himself in the middle of a natural disaster as relentless storms ravaged the island, inundating neighborhoods and cutting off power.
Videos shared online showed roads turning into rivers, and residents struggling to deal with the chaos.
In an Instagram post, Momoa shared, “The storms, the flooding, the continued rain on Oahu have impacted so many of our people, especially those already facing hardship.”
However, the Honolulu native evacuated with his family as conditions worsened on the North Shore.
Despite the danger, the actor stepped forward to help his community. Jason Momoa and his partner Adria Arjona helped out at a local restaurant that distributed food to the needy and displaced.
It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time Momoa has faced a scary moment.
Previously, the actor had a near-drowning experience after getting caught in huge waves and powerful currents while surfing at Maui’s infamous “Jaws” break. He revealed, “I’m at that point maybe half a mile off shore. There’s so much water coming out of a channel (and) you just get hit by these waves. I was stuck in this weird place. I had my paddle, and I was waving it (but my friends) couldn’t see me, and the waves were so big.
According to Momoa, at one point he “literally gave up.”
