Offset has spoken out following reports that he was shot near a Florida casino, sharing his reaction to comments made by rapper Lil TJ.
The Migos star, 34, broke her silence in a comment left under a post by The Shade Room Teens, which referenced Lil Tjay’s comments to reporters after his release from prison.
“You just ain’t a nun,” offset wrote, a slang term used to downplay a situation. daily Mail Informed.
The exchange came after Lil TJ, real name Tiyon Merritt, was quoted addressing the incident, saying, “The last thing I saw was Offset looking at me like, ‘Y, he shot me, that n**** shot me!'”
He also said in the same comment, “N**** is a rat, n****… I didn’t put up much of a fight. Did I get shot? That f***ing crazy. I’ll kill Offset. He’ll never play with me like that in his life. Ask Offset.”
Police allege that Lil Tjay “directed members of his party to initiate a fight with another group of males” near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida around 7:22 p.m.
During the confrontation, someone in Lil Tjay’s group allegedly fired a gun and shot Offset in a valet area, investigators said. Police also said that the video shows Lil TJ recording some of the incident on his phone.
Lil TJ’s attorney, Don Florio, denied the musician’s involvement in the shooting on Tuesday, saying that he “was not shot, nor has he been accused of any shooting. Any reports to the contrary are false”.
Seminole Police confirmed that Lil Tjay was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and later released, while another man taken into custody has not been charged. Officials said the investigation is continuing to find more suspects.
The injured victim, Offset, was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is under medical care, officials said.
Following treatment, Offset was later seen outside the hospital in a wheelchair during a short break, while a spokesperson previously confirmed that he was stable and being monitored.
