It’s impressive how much TCL is pushing the boundaries of QLED technology. The QM7K is last year’s mid-tier QD-Mini LED smart TV, and it offers great value for your money. Currently, the price of the 65-inch QM7K has been dropped by $222, bringing its price to $777.99 (originally $1,499.99 at launch), which is the second lowest price ever, according to the price-tracking tool.
The QM7K is superior to the QM6K in every way except color accuracy. It has better contrast, brightness, gaming specs, black levels, processing, and other specs, but the QM6K is still a great option for those on a budget.
I personally tested the QM7, which is a slightly older model of this TV, as well as the more budget QM6K, and I can tell you that TCL isn’t skimping on these TVs. They really feel and look premium. This QM7K is no different. Its main attraction is a bright panel, making it great for sunny rooms. It has a deep black color and almost no light bloom, giving it premium picture quality. Gamers will appreciate the 144Hz native refresh rate and 288Hz support panel with VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, making it a smooth experience. Since this is a Google TV, it has hands-free Google Assistant and Google Cast, making it easy to stream almost anything from your phone or computer. It can do the same for iPhones with AirPlay.
What do you think so far?
If you are fond of colors, you may notice that the colors come out a little warm from the box PCMag’s “excellent” reviewBut this is something you can easily edit in the picture settings. If you want a huge, bright, colorful smart TV with that “wow” factor, get the 65-inch QM7K, but if brightness isn’t that important to you, consider the 85-inch QM6K. Either option is a great TV at this price.
