Italian socialite, Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, has confirmed her relationship with French far-right presidential candidate Jordan Bardella.
Princess Maria, also known as the Duchess of Calabria and Palermo, is a model and social media influencer. She is the eldest daughter and heir apparent of Prince Carlo, Duke of Castro, the controversial head of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.
According to celebrity magazine Paris Match, the couple are shown getting cozy with each other in photos taken while on holiday in Corsica. Read the headline, “The idol no one expected.”
Romance rumors have been circulating since January when the pair were spotted together at an event in Paris to mark the 200th anniversary of Le Figaro newspaper.
However, Jordan Bardella, who is president of the Rassemblement National (RN) party, has dodged questions about his personal life during interviews.
He has been of the view that his personal life is his “last place of freedom”.
According to the BBC, Bardella will run for the French presidency next year if a court in July rules that historic party leader Marine Le Pen is ineligible due to her conviction for misusing EU parliamentary funds.
