    How to loan a Kindle book

    Although as a young adult I never considered myself a book-lover, when I got my first Kindle several years ago, I found myself unable to write about it.

    a kindle This is a great way to carry all your books in one package. A useful device that’s even lighter than a tablet and relatively inexpensive, the Kindle makes it easy to buy, borrow, and keep your books safe.

    How to share or borrow a Kindle book

    There are two simple ways to share a Kindle book: by lending it to someone else or by sharing it through your Family Library. We’ll cover both options, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

    Other ways to get the most from your Kindle:

    There are some books that you can lend to other users after purchasing them. Unfortunately, many people do not support lending. The publisher sets the loan terms for its books, so loan periods vary – but are often around 14 days. If the book is not accepted as loan within seven days, it will be returned to you.

    Use either the mobile app or a web browser to log in to your Amazon account, then access your account settings by clicking Accounts and Lists Top right of the page.

    Log in then click on Account and Lists

    go into Materials and Equipment On Amazon; This will give you access to your purchased devices’ settings and content like books, apps, videos, and music.

    choose books From your available materials. This will bring up a list of your purchased and borrowed books.

    Your purchased books list has options for each on the right side of the page. clicking on more actions Shows options on the dropdown menu.

    But more actions Menu, click on borrow this title Lend it to someone else. Next, you will be asked to fill out a form with the recipient’s information:

    Next, you will be taken to a form where you can enter the recipient’s email address, name, who it comes from and your borrowing details along with a personal message.

    Not all books can be loaned, so if you do not have borrow this title The alternative is to try sharing it through your Family Library.

    Sharing with Family Library

    An alternative option for sharing a book is to do so through Family Library. This can be done in the same Actions menu that you access by following steps 1-4 above.

    if not borrow this title Click the More Actions option on the dropdown menu Manage Family Library instead.

    Your Family Library includes members of your Amazon family.

    When you choose someone to share the book with, click the yellow make changes Button to share the book with them. You can add or remove books from your family library at any time.

    How many devices can share a Kindle book?

    A Kindle book can be shared only once. This means that after the book is back in your library for 14 days, you won’t be able to share it with anyone else again.

    However, a book can be read on multiple devices simultaneously, as long as you’re logged in to those devices with your Amazon account through the Kindle app. For example, you can pause reading a book on your Kindle and resume reading it from the Kindle app on your iPad.

    Can I share a book directly from my Kindle?

    Loans is not available in Kindle Settings, but you can view and manage your Family Library directly on your Kindle device. This way:

    1. From the Kindle homepage, tap the Menu button (three buttons at the top right corner)
    2. choose settings
    3. tap on Home and Family Library
    4. Choose which account to manage

    What is Amazon Home and Family Sharing?

    amazon home Lets users share some of their Prime benefits with their family members, including one other adult, up to four teens, and up to four children. This allows other people to access Prime benefits from your account without paying for a separate subscription.

    You can share eBooks with other members of your household and add or remove people by going to your Amazon account and clicking take care of your house.
