fertile pasture
“With your staff, shepherd your people, that is, the sheep and goats of your inheritance, who live alone in the forest and in the fertile pastures.” (Mike 7:14).
“I have called you to be a bank pastor,” the Lord said to my friend Chuck. “Bank chaplain? How can one be a bank chaplain, Lord?” The answer came, “The things I taught you, I want you to teach others also.”
There are people who live isolated in fertile pastures. They long for a shepherd who will help them find their heritage. They are the lost majority in the market who are living as if they are lost and aimless children in a deep, dark forest.
Although most do not know it, they long for a priest who will tell them their destiny. Your staff, who represent your business, is the means by which God is going to use you to pastor people in your sphere of influence in the workplace.
A fertile pasture means that there can be a great harvest if only there is someone to do the work necessary to bring in the harvest from it. This is where you will receive your inheritance. The people you serve will be the spiritual inheritance God has allotted to you.
This forest is more fertile than all other possible areas because the power and authority presented by this forest has the potential to influence much larger areas. In this jungle there are CEOs, Presidents of nations, entertainment moguls, media tycoons and teachers to name a few. They are the shapers of society who are yet to meet their maker.
Are you willing to use your staff to become a shepherd of a people living in fertile pastures?
