Iran’s new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei announced in a historic announcement on Thursday that the Strait of Hormuz will be “under new management.”
He further said, “The enemy will compensate for all the damage caused to us.” “We will not give up our rights in any way, and in this respect we consider the entire resistance axis as a unified one.”
The Iranian leader made the important statement in a written address read on state television. This follows reports that only a small number of ships have been allowed to navigate the strait since the ceasefire was announced.
Operating the vital waterway, which is widely expected to ease pressure on the oil and gas industry, was a central component of the agreement.
The statement further said that Iran is waiting for an appropriate response from “our southern neighbors” – the Arab states bordering the Persian Gulf – so that Iran can “show you our brotherhood.”
The leader also declared that the country remains steadfast in its desire to “avenge” his slain father, who was killed during one of the early US-Israeli strikes on February 28. Khamenei assumed the leadership role after his father’s death.

chairman Donald Trump He told NBC News in an interview Thursday that he had urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be “a little more low-key” in operations in Lebanon as the United States seeks to end the conflict with Iran.

Khamenei’s threatening statement came just days after Trump issued a series of stern warnings against Iran on social media.
The American leader wrote: “Tonight an entire civilization will die, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.”
Trump’s anger appears to have had a profound impact on how Americans view not only the war with Iran, but also his ability to rule the country with a steady hand.
A recent poll by the co-founder of Free Speech for People showed that fifty-two percent of registered voters, including one in seven Republicans, supported the impeachment of the US leader.
