Funny, Instagram announced Threads posts that it is releasing an edit button for comments made on the platform (via ). The Verge). The thread continues, stating that users can edit their Instagram comments within 15 minutes of posting. The Verge goes further, providing a screenshot of the feature. After posting their reply, users will see an “Edit” option below their comment.
This will resurface your keyboard, as well as what you typed, with a noticeable “Edit Comment” banner above the text field. Then all you have to do is hit the check mark, and your edited comment will go up, and no one will be the wiser. The publication had a chance to speak to Meta spokesperson Nicole Rechtszaid about the new edit button. Rechtszaid informed them that comments you changed will see an “Edited” label in gray next to the content.
