Jessica Biel has finally broken her silence on the viral parenting trend that used her name.
The 44-year-old American actress, who shares her two sons Silas and Phineas with Justin Timberlake, expressed her thoughts on the tantrum track of a child she once laughed at on social media.
Biel, “Guys, I’m not really sure how I feel about this Jessica trend with moms and kids and now dogs, apparently it’s working – which is amazing, I’ll try it on my own dogs. I feel like half the kids in these videos look scared.”
In the viral social media trend, a child throws a tantrum, but a loud shout of Jessica’s name distracts him and he eventually calms down.
Specifically, this happened after the mother of two posted a few examples on her Instagram Stories and on one video she wrote, “You called.”
She said at the time, “I would really love if I could come into your home with my name that I share with so many other incredible Jessicas around the world, I’m sure, and help you with your kids’ tantrums, but I feel like these kids are scared.”
“They’re scared and hopeful that Jessica won’t come forward,” Jessica quipped.
“Part of me wants to say, ‘You’re welcome. Glad I could be helpful. Glad we could all be helpful Jessica,’ and also, please please please don’t make your child afraid of people named Jessica. Because we’re good people. We’re good people. We want to help you with tantrums, but we don’t want to scare your child,”
