Khloe Kardashian has just expressed that she was “tricked” into joining the famous reality TV show, keeping up with the Kardashians, formerly known as Kardashian.
The 41-year-old star joined the series in 2007, and Khloe has now revealed the important role that her mother Kris Jenner played in the negotiations.
he told morgan stewart show Podcast: “I never said, ‘Oh my God, I have to be famous. I have to be on TV.’
She added, “When my mom and Kim (Kardashian) approached Kourt (Kourtney Kardashian) and me about doing the show, we said, ‘No, we’re not doing this show.’
At the time, Khloe and Kourtney had just opened their own fashion boutique, Dash, in Calabasas, and the pair were firmly focused on running their business.
She said: “My mom kind of egged us on to do it, she said, ‘Think of it as a commercial for the store.’ “Because that’s all we wanted to do (focus on the store).”
Khloe noted how adept the sisters were in business at the time, recalling, “We didn’t have any employees. It was just me and Kourt.”
“We had a kids’ shop and a ladies’ shop. And she was at the kids’ shop; I was at the ladies’ shop. We did everything — cleaning, doing, steaming clothes. We didn’t have a single employee. We didn’t know what we were doing,” the TV star admitted.
Khloe now balances her family life with her various business ventures.
However, an insider recently claimed that Khloe is “not involved in strategy or operations” for Good American, the clothing company she co-founded with Emma Grede in 2016.
“Khloé is still an investor in Good American, but she’s focused her time and attention on her latest podcast project and her Khloé line, which she’s expected to release more new products soon,” an insider explained. Us Weekly.
