Meghan Trainor, a famous singer and show host, anticipated the criticism she would receive for using a surrogate, although she did not know how much she would take.
The 32-year-old pop star and her husband Daryl Sabara welcomed their third child, Mickey Moon, via surrogate in January, and Meghan has now revealed that online criticism brought her to tears.
during an appearance on I will not lie podcast, Meghan, who has undergone a dramatic weight loss transformation in recent years, shared: “I didn’t pay attention (to the comments).
“I was totally aware – because there was all this hate I was already getting for changing, just for looking different because I took care of myself – so I said, ‘Oh, they hate me now. They’re not going to like this’. And it was just a cloud of tears every night of worry,” the Me Too singer said.
Meghan continued, “I want my daughter to come into this world and not have everyone attack her for the way she came here. That’s all that went through my mind.”
“But my team was with me, my therapist was with me, everyone was very supportive. My husband said, ‘Everyone can suck our ass,'” the singer continued.
Meghan, who also has sons Riley, five, and Barry, two, with Daryl, decided to find a surrogate because she was having health problems.
“[We]had to make a heartbreaking, big decision. And I was struggling with my health and almost heading into an autoimmune disease. So, there were a lot of conversations back and forth. Then we thought, the safest way is to do it through a surrogate,” No The hitmaker explained.
At the time of their daughter’s birth, Daryl and Meghan Trainor, who have been married since 2018, announced on social media, “Our baby girl Mickey Moon Trainor has finally entered the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate. We are over the moon in love with this precious girl.”
