Ralph Fiennes famously played the role of Voldemort on the big screen for years in the Harry Potter franchise.
Now, as the reboot is in the works, he has supported his fellow actor for the role of the Dark Lord.
She’s Tilda Swinton, a shocking replacement, some fans would say. However, the actress has a history of working in high-fantasy series. For example, Narnia.
“I think she’d be amazing!” he tells the Claudia Winkleman Show on BBC One.
His surprising support prompts Claudia to agree, “That would be awesome!”
However, before endorsing the actress as a potential candidate, Fiennes shared his thoughts on reprising his dangerous character.
“I remember when we finished shooting the whole film series I was asked this question: Would I play this role again? And this was a few years ago, and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to do that,'” the Skyfall actor admits.
“But then, nothing happened, and I guess that ship has sailed,” he adds.
So far, no actor has been cast for the role of the dark wizard in the Harry Potter TV series, giving rise to rumors of possible contenders.
“Can you make it a headline?” He previously told The Sunday Times that he was not considered for the role of Voldemort.
