In a new conversation with people magazineRhys recently shared the challenges he faced in the industry during his early years, which made him connect more with his character.
Admitting to feeling like an “outsider” during her younger years, she shared, “I had a very inspirational English teacher who taught me this.”
“And actually, I found a character, who is the heart of this play, who felt as much of an outsider as I did at that time.
“And I think many of us are feeling that way right now as an outsider, right? I think the central question of the play is, ‘Am I losing my mind or has the world gone mad?’ And I think we’re feeling the same way.”
Meanwhile, the actor, who won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for The Long Goodbye in 2022, made a rare revelation about his earnings.
Stating that he hasn’t seen the hour in over a year, he told the outlet that he has handed it over to his mother.
“I went and handed it straight to my mom,” he began.
She is the first to consider any of these things. I haven’t actually seen it in a while, so I’m hoping she knows where it is, because I don’t know.”
