Riz Ahmed’s mother is proud of her son!
During a recent chat with People, the 43-year-old British-Pakistani actor revealed that even four years after his Oscar win, his mother still treasures Riz’s achievement.
And he has preserved his valuable property as well as his praise.
In fact, on the night he won, he himself handed over the trophy to him.
“I went and handed it straight to my mom. She’s the first one to notice any of these things,” he told the outlet while watching the 2022 Academy Awards night.
“I actually haven’t seen it in a while, so I’m hoping she knows where it is, because I don’t,” he jokingly revealed.
For those unaware, Riz and filmmaker Anil Karia won the Live Action Short Film Oscar for their work on ‘The Long Goodbye’.
Explaining why her mother kept it, Riz shared her habit of throwing stuff away.
“She doesn’t like me rearranging her stuff. It’s a very elaborate plan. She’s hidden it somewhere I don’t know, just so I don’t throw any stuff away. I might throw out the box it’s in or something,” he explained.
