There is anger among Prince Harry’s friends as they have come forward to highlight the ‘inappropriate’ treatment he has received since Megxit.
This is friend Alex Renner and he chimed in with his two cents. daily Mail And revealed how much Prince Harry has done for the UK during his time in the army.
In his view, “Harry is a royal who has served significantly in the armed forces.” That’s why even considering asking them personally to pay for it (security) seems a bit invidious, given that other members of the royal family also receive it who do very little.
It’s worth mentioning that Prince Harry’s troubles regarding security initially grew because he is no longer seen as a senior working royal, and this means he is no longer entitled to automatic taxpayer-funded security.
As far as details go, the ‘transition’ (from the UK to the US) is said to have been swift, as seen in the behind-the-scenes images the Sussexes shared in their documentary for Netflix a few years later.
From Vancouver Island, Canada, to Santa Barbara, California, and Tyler Perry’s home in between, the couple traveled at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Netflix deal is said to be going ahead albeit in a reduced capacity, the Spotify deal fell through and fans even saw CEO Daniel Ek come out and accuse the pair of being “corruptors.”
A few years later, around 2023, in January the memoir Prince Harry was working on came out titled Spare, and it featured details of the Sandringham summit, the Dog Bowl incident (where Prince Harry was thrown by his brother) as well as promising ‘more material’ should a second book be considered.
Amidst all this (in 2021), Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor joined the family, but not before Meghan suffered a miscarriage, which she later wrote for The New York Times in the headline ‘The Losses We Share’.
The only documented return to the UK where Meghan accompanied her husband was for Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee (June 2022), followed by her funeral. However, it didn’t end there as it was followed by the King’s coronation, Lilibet and Archie becoming Prince and Princess as is their ‘birthright’ in their father’s words, followed by the father and son duo making their first official contact in many years at Windsor Castle over tea for almost an hour. The anti-royal interviews have subsided since then, and the Sussexes are said to be working towards rehabilitation, despite rumors of Prince William’s dissatisfaction.
