Prince William and Kate Middleton have shown a face of unity amid tensions in the royal family.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, who attended the Easter service with King Charles at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, broke tradition to support Her Majesty.
Royal expert Jenny Bond told the Mirror: “I think the fact that William, Catherine and the kids were there this year is proof that the family felt they needed to make a big show of unity and support for the king.
“George has never seemed particularly comfortable in front of the camera to me – and I’m sure he’d prefer running around in Norfolk or playing video games! But that’s what a life of duty looks like.”
Jenny said: “I was so surprised to see Harriet Sparling’s daughter, Georgina, join the royal party at such a young age.
“It would be a lot to tell her school friends! But her mother and soon-to-be stepfather, Peter Phillips, clearly trust her enough to be discreet about her new extended family,” she said.
