Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was a menace. Critics loved his performance, while fans were stunned to see how the actor transformed into an agent of chaos.
But the twist is that she wasn’t a fan of the comic book character when she first read about it.
Speaking candidly in an old interview, Robbie said, “When I first read it, I thought, I have nothing in common with her. I hate her. It was really hard for me to get over it.”
“But his motivation was, ‘You guys are doing it—why shouldn’t I? It’s this guy’s world, and I’m going to get my world.’ And I understand that,” she said circulation.
In the same interview, Robbie shared that he loves doing challenging projects. He cited the example of his 2018 film terminal.
He shared, “We chose the most challenging indie film imaginable – it just wasn’t commercially viable from a financier’s perspective.”
“It’s taking years off my life. It’s really hard work, but much more rewarding and more empowering than acting. I started to feel like there was a little pawn moving around the board: ‘Go here!’ Do it! Be his!”
