Rumors of the Moto Razr 2026 have been slowly surfacing, and what has emerged now is still pretty light.
Earlier today (April 13), a Android Headlines The post alleges what Motorola could do for its Razr Ultra 2026 in terms of specifications. Right from the start, rumors have suggested that the company is looking to upgrade one area: its battery. Moto Razr Ultra 2026 may launch with a boosted 5,000mAh battery. If you have an Ultra 2025, you’ll know this is the bare minimum, as that foldable packs a 4,700mAh cell. So, rumors indicate an increase to 300mAh.
The company can stick to 68W wired charging for this cell.

On the other hand, we are facing mild allegations. The Razer Ultra 2026 is expected to have a 4-inch cover display and a 7-inch internal screen (like last year). Most interestingly, the publication claims that the phone may stick with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This is a (or two) year old chip, depending on how you look at it, as it was slated for a 2025 flagship launch in late 2024.
Another batch of similarities could be its cameras, which are expected to be at 50MP for all three lenses. The Razer Ultra 2026 may also feature up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

This year’s Razer Ultra reportedly broke cover in late March With a batch of rendering. The images gave us the impression that the device could look pretty similar to the one we got in 2025. The phone’s large and immersive cover display, paired with its attractive internal screen, will reportedly continue. However, what we were wondering about were speculations stating that there could be an internal upgrade.
It was said that the phone will be slightly thicker, which could indicate a battery upgrade. The battery improvement we’re seeing right now is only 300mAh, but at least it’s something. However, my colleague, Derek Lee, would have liked to see a larger silicon-carbon battery inside the Ultra 2026 – also a slimmer build – when he talked about the possibility of a “much improved” line of razors.
Although the build doesn’t appear to be changing at all for 2026, it seems like Moto may be playing it a little safe this time around for its Ultra.
Android Central’s Tech
Moto’s Razors already look pretty good. For me, I don’t really see any issues with its design not changing or its display. What I’m not sure about is its chip of choice. We’ll have to see if that happens, but hearing rumors that Moto might stick with a chip that’s a year or two older is a bit disappointing. We’ve already got “what’s next” from Qualcomm, and it would be nice to have it in the ultra foldable that was such a beautiful addition from Motorola.
