Former President of the United States, Barack Obama served in office for more than two terms, and during that time several major milestones occurred in their relationship on the other side of the pond. The biggest of these was Brexit and a new book has revealed some of the Queen’s private thoughts on the referendum.
The book claims that the Queen was deeply disappointed when she learned that the fate of Britain’s place in the EU had been left to a vote in which the public could take part.
This revelation is very significant as the British monarchy is renowned for having a politically neutral approach, but in this private conversation the former President opened up to the late monarch.
