What you need to know
- A report claims that Google is working on a new Gemini feature that could be called “Your Day”.
- Supposedly, the feature relies on AI’s personal intelligence to use a user’s connected apps to create “proactive feeds” and cards.
- Personal Intelligence launched in January, and allows the AI (if enabled) to dive into your Gmail, photos, and other things to help personalize its replies.
Google is positioning Gemini acts as your assistant throughout the day, but this leaked feature suggests it could do more to help you.
After digging into the code of the Google app, 9to5Google claims to have discovered a feature in development for Gemini. The alleged feature, titled “Your Day”, was reportedly discovered in Google’s early code along with the search bar and New Chat in the app’s side menu. The publication took a closer look and found that “Your Day” is intended to be “an active feed from Gemini to stay ahead of your day.”

Is anyone else getting a glimpse of Samsung’s Now brief from this early report? What’s most interesting to me is that, rather than taking advantage of random articles or weather reports, the publication says “Your Day” will utilize Gemini’s personal intelligence. This gives me a pretty good idea of what results it might produce.
Personal Intelligence is rumored to be the driving force behind this AI feature under development. In what way? The post doesn’t clarify, as there’s reportedly nothing else in the rumor that actually demonstrates its potential. However, an icon for this feature is reportedly on the way to “Cards.”

There is a possibility that this card may appear when you open the Gemini app. Likewise, it wouldn’t be surprising if Google is rolling out a notification to alert people that their card has been prepared in the morning. Another aspect that 9to5 (we too) are curious about is what the UI will look like for your day.

Personal Intelligence and “Your Day.” I hope this will be a round-up of sorts, using everything that’s stored about you on Google’s cloud. Emails, photos, maybe the top recommended videos for you that went up. sorts of. Again, this feels like a Now Briefs-style feature. However, it is still too early to know for sure.
If you’re curious about a deadline you can’t remember exactly, this is where Gmail’s connection comes in handy. Of course, enabling it is completely optional. You don’t have to give the AI anything more than what you want, but hearing mention of this “Your Day” rumor gives Personal Intelligence a path for us to follow. Perhaps “Your Day” will provide a round-up of the most important emails and dates from Gmail to projects.
When it comes to photographs, it will probably bring up memories of this date from a year or two ago. Of course, we’re speculating, but at least there’s a trace.
