Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been humanized by the need to expand the brand through an Australia tour.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who touched down in London this Monday, are keen to support their business ventures.
Speaking about the feasibility of their tour, royal expert Jenny Bond writes for the Mirror: “They’re celebrities, and Harry is a prince. They’re newsworthy – and the constant stories we write about them ensure they stay that way.”
“This kind of trip is exactly what Harry and Meghan wanted to do at the beginning of the whole tragic story that led to them stepping down as working royals. They wanted to combine earning a living with some charitable work. So, here they are doing exactly that. What’s the problem?
He added: “Personally, I think it’s a little difficult for Meghan to sell access herself – you could pay to have a photo taken with her when she’s at a women’s weekend retreat. But business is sometimes tough and she’s exploring commercial opportunities for her As Ever brand.”
“So I don’t understand what the controversy, if there really is one, is about,” says Jenny.
