Noah Wyle has dropped new details about what fans can expect on the upcoming season of The Pit.
In his recent conversation, the actor was asked about the possible release date of the third installment of the much-awaited show.
Sharing that the series may move away from holiday-focused storytelling for the upcoming season, he shared, “It will probably be in the autumn, November.”
However, production on Season 3 of the show is expected to begin sometime in 2026.
He also shared his opinion on the recent cast shakeup, mentioning the sudden, shocking exit of Supriya Ganesh. Ganesh has played the role of Dr. Sameera Mohan since the series’ debut in January 2025.
Explaining how the show is designed to reflect real hospital life, where the staff are not always the same, he argued, “It’s an inevitability that’s going to happen with this show every season.”
Doubting the notion that cast turnover reflects real-life medical environments, he said, “Emergency rooms have a high revolving door.”
Additionally, he reflected on one of the show’s ongoing episodes, which has been flagged as “sensitive” because it depicts immigration officers bringing a detained patient to a hospital, causing staff to feel intimidated and uncertain.
Reportedly, HBO asked for some changes so that the story would feel more balanced, to which they responded by saying that the modifications actually helped the scene play out carefully without pushing too much in one direction.
