Amazon recently announced that it is launching a New and updated version of Fire TV Stick HDWhich comes with new features such as a new user interface, as well as access to Alexa + voice assistants and other AI features. It’s also relatively affordable, costing just $34.99 according to Amazon:

A key hardware design feature of the new Fire TV Stick is that it is designed to plug directly into a user’s TV for power, meaning you won’t need to connect it to a separate power source to turn it on. Amazon says it’s slightly faster than previous versions (by about 30%), allowing it to open apps more quickly. This device also comes with support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
As for availability, the 2026 Fire TV Stick HD is available for pre-order today, and will be shipped to buyers in Canada, Mexico, US, UK, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand by the end of the month. Amazon says buyers in more regions will be able to purchase the new model in the future.
