Julia Roberts’ brother, Eric, is shutting down rumors of a rift between the siblings.
The ‘Clikha’ actor calls Julia “amazing” as he brushes off speculation that they had a major falling out on the ‘It Happened in Hollywood’ podcast.
“That’s not true – that was never true. We’re fine,” the 69-year-old actor said, “We have our differences, as people do, but we like each other very much and respect each other very much.”
Revealing that he and Julia have a good relationship, Eric said, “She’s an amazing actress, she’s an amazing human being. I think she’s also an amazing mother – that’s the hardest thing. So, you know, she’s a good girl and I like her.”
Eric further said that like every brother and sister, he and Julia have small disagreements but these are not serious.
“The only issues we have are everyday disagreements on anything, but that’s not a thing,” he said. “I love my sister. I’m inspired by the amazing career she has. And she has three kids — she’s a mom, dude!”
This comes eight years after Eric said the success of his daughter Emma and her sister Julia is linked to him.
“If it weren’t for me, there wouldn’t be Julia Roberts and Emma Roberts as celebrities, actresses, and I’m very proud of that,” she told Vanity Fair at the time.
