GoPro has unveiled its new Mission 1 series of cameras, bringing upgrades like a larger 1-inch type sensor, a new GP3 processor, and support for interchangeable MFT lenses. The lineup includes the Mission 1, Mission 1 Pro and Mission 1 Pro ILS.
All three models are equipped with a new 50MP 1-inch type sensor, which captures more light than the sensors used in previous generations.
The cameras are powered by the new 5nm GP3 processor, enabling video recording capabilities such as 1080p at 960fps, 8K at 60fps and 30fps, 4K 120fps open gate and 4K at 240fps.
GoPro says the new chipset also integrates an advanced AI NPU for better video processing and better low-light performance. The cameras are backed by a new Enduro 2 battery, which is claimed to deliver over 5 hours of recording at 1080p30 and over 3 hours at 4K30 on a single charge.
