Lanny Wilson has reflected on his approach to going undercover in public.
In his latest conversation with people magazineWilson shared how she never stops living life like a normal person despite being one of the world’s best-selling country artists.
Claiming that she can be “very easily incognito” in her daily life, the 33-year-old singer said, “I could be at Walgreens or Walmart, and as I’m checking out at the counter, the cashier will look at me weird.”
He commented, “The voice is not going to hide.”
Reflecting on her journey, she shared that the “explosion” of her career was something that no one in the industry had predicted.
She admitted, “Not even 15 years in Nashville could have prepared me for the way my career took off. I mean, it’s everything I could have ever wanted and more.”
She stressed that although she loves her art, she refuses to let awards define her value as a human being.
“I’m not just a singer, songwriter, musician – that’s what I do,” she insisted.
Before concluding, Wilson declared, “Trophies and awards are things that come with success, but they can’t define me as a person, because that’s when I forget who I am. I have to keep my head straight.”
