If you’ve been putting off buying a Samsung tablet, that hesitation has just become more costly. Samsung Galaxy Tab price hike It now covers every tablet in Samsung’s US lineupWithout any announcement and no changes in hardware.
The whole scope is quite difficult. The Galaxy Tab S11 now starts at $899, which is $100 more than its $799 launch price. The Tab S11 Ultra has also increased by $100 over the base tier, to $1,299. At the top end, the 1TB Tab S11 Ultra rises $280 to $1,899 from $1,619. Older models also found success. The Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 FE Plus, Tab S10 Lite, Tab S10 Plus, and Tab A11 Plus each get price increases, ranging from $50 to $180 depending on storage tier. Even the 2024 Tab S10 Plus climbed up to $180 on the higher storage variant.
Samsung has not officially announced the changes. Still, the likely driver is ongoing memory shortage. AI data centers now consume massive amounts of DRAM and NAND, which reduces supply for consumer devices and drives up component costs across the industry.
It follows a familiar pattern
This increase in the price of Samsung Galaxy Tab did not happen suddenly. Just two days ago, Samsung quietly raised the prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, increasing each of the two storage variants by $80. The prices of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25 FE also increased. So while the rise of tablets is the most widespread, phones are also getting the same treatment.
The Galaxy S26 series remains untouched for now. Earlier this year, Samsung kept the prices of the Galaxy S26 stable, and that still stands. But everything else in the lineup is apparently fair game. Also, Samsung is not alone here. Motorola raised the price of the Moto G, Microsoft increased its Surface lineup by $500, and Sony increased PS5 prices by $100 this month. Buying sooner rather than later seems to be a better move right now.
