Robot vacuums have now moved closer to hands-on cleaning than basic assistants, but the price usually increases with that feature. Roborock Qrevo QV 35A Many of these high-end features have been reduced to $399.99 (originally $649.99), the lowest price we’ve ever tracked. price tracker.
The QV 35A is a vacuum-and-mop combo with a dock that handles most of your routine tasks. This includes emptying the dustbin, washing the mop pad, filling with water and drying the pad after a run – you’ll still have to empty the dirty water tank and change the dust bag from time to time, but there’s less day-to-day effort. That said, the dock uses cold water to wash the pads and room temperature air to dry them, which takes several hours and requires occasional cleaning to avoid accumulation.
The device cleans well for anything in this range. The 8,000Pa suction picks up crumbs, dust and pet hair from hard floors in one go, and on lower carpets, it handles surface debris without too much fuss (though deeper cleaning usually requires a second round). Its rubber main brush and curved side brush help prevent hair from wrapping around, reducing tangles (which is good news if you deal with pet shedding). On the mopping side, the dual pads spin at 200rpm and press down just enough to pick up dry spills like coffee or sticky spots rather than pushing them around – and when it moves over carpet, the pads raise about 10mm, so it doesn’t draw moisture onto rugs during the cleaning cycle.
What do you think so far?
Navigation is controlled by a LiDAR system that maps your home and cleans in a predictable pattern, usually starting at the edges and then moving in straight lines. You can split rooms, set no-go zones and create routines in the app without much effort, and it supports multi-floor maps if you have more than one level. The downside is that there’s no camera here, which keeps things simple and avoids image-based tracking, but it also means the robot is less accurate with smaller or low-profile objects – it avoids larger objects like shoes or toys without too much trouble, but thin cables can still get stuck in there, so you’ll have to clear them before you run.
