Tech brands love to promote their active noise-canceling (ANC) earbuds, but none have quite reached the standard set by the Bose QuietComfort series. For my money, Bose makes the best ANC gear, and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd generation) are the best ANC earbuds you can buy right now. The downside to the Bose Buds is that they’re quite expensive, but you no longer need to spend $300 to get great ANC. The luxurious first-generation Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are available in all four colors $179 (Originally $299) At Amazon, this is the lowest price it’s ever been, according to the price-tracking tool.

Although they’re an older model, the first-generation Bose QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth earbuds are still an excellent choice. they got one “excellent” review From PCMag, not only for best-in-class ANC, but in general for its great audio quality, spatial audio support, and diverse codec bluetooth Support with AAC and AptX, making them great for Android and Apple users alike. However, they’re not perfect: They lack the multipoint connectivity that other high-end earbuds at this price offer, and there’s no wireless charging for the case (if you care about that).
These features really make these earbuds stand out. They have a CustomTune feature that measures the size of your ear canal to tune the sound and establish your best ANC profile. (You can make your own changes in the companion app, too.) Bose’s “Immersive Audio” feature allows you to hear your surroundings just like you would if you wore open-ear headphones. You can also mess with the settings to mix and match external noise and ANC within the Immersive Audio settings on the app.
What do you think so far?
You’ll get about four to six hours of battery life from the buds, and 12 to 18 hours of battery life with the charging case. The earbuds aren’t waterproof, but they are waterproof IPX4 ratingSo you can wear them to the gym without worrying about how much you’ll sweat.
