Aeterion PLC (AIM: ATN)an Africa-focused critical metals exploration company, is pleased to announce the commencement of ground-based magnetic geophysical surveys at its 100% owned AGDIES copper-silver project.AGDZ” Or “Project“) in the Kingdom of Morocco (“morocco“).
Following the Company’s recent announcement on January 29, 2026, the program represents a significant step forward in advancing AGDs from surface exploration to drill target definition, highlighting a significant expansion in the footprint of the copper-silver mineralization.
Main characteristics:
- 111 line km ground magnetic survey is going on in 11.20 km2.
- C.28% of planned survey completed.
- Survey targeting fault-controlled copper-silver breccias identified in recent fieldwork.
- Mineralization has been explored to a depth of 0.9 km, with potential for further expansion.
- Following historical and recent tests, including 3.47% Cu with 136 g/t Ag and 1.34% Cu with 31 g/t Ag.
- Expanding total ground magnetic coverage by more than 20.8 km² to 322 line km (from 195 line km historically).
- The objective is to rapidly define new drill-ready targets in an expanding mineral footprint.
strategic context
The current program is designed to define the geometry, continuity and scale potential of several sub-parallel, structurally controlled mineralized zones, while also discovering new unrecognized targets in under-explored areas of the project.
The survey is part of a systematic exploration workflow that integrates geophysics with ongoing field mapping and sampling, with the aim of rapidly generating a pipeline of high-quality, drill-ready targets.
Importantly, the results of the Ground Magnetics program will be integrated with the structural targeting work currently being conducted by Lithosquare, enabling a multidisciplinary approach to target refinement and prioritization.
Charles Bray, president of Aeterion, commented:
“The launch of this ground magnetics program is the next step in AGD’s progress from surface exploration to new drill target definition.
Following the encouraging results announced earlier this year, which expanded the mineral footprint and prior exploratory drilling results, we are now systematically advancing our understanding of the scale and continuity of the system, both along strike and in previously less explored areas. The results of this survey will directly support and enhance LithoSquare’s targeting work, ensuring that multiple datasets are integrated to refine and prioritize high quality targets.
The survey is progressing well and supported by parallel fieldwork, we are focused on rapidly refining targets and building a strong pipeline of drill-ready opportunities as we take AGDiz to the next phase of exploration.
Ground Magnetics Program
The survey is designed to define the strike continuity of several sub-parallel, linear copper-bearing fault breccias, which individually outcrop over strike lengths of up to 0.9 km. The program also aims to identify additional potential structures that may be hidden beneath the surface.
The program is being conducted by an independent geophysical contractor using a GEM GSM-19 Overhauser magnetometer with the following parameters:
- 60 lines for a total of 111 line km.
- Average line length – 1.85 km.
- 100 meter line spacing.
- Three contiguous grids covering a total of 11.20 km2.
- A two-week timeline for data acquisition is estimated.
- Modeling, interpretation and reporting is estimated at 4 weeks.
next steps
Based on the results of the ground magnetics survey, the Company intends to:
- Define priority target areas for follow-up work.
- Undertaking detailed geological mapping and trenching.
- To conduct induced polarization (IP)/immunity surveys on priority targets.
- Advance a ranked pipeline of drill-ready targets.
Project summary
Aterian has a 100% interest in the 50.4 km² Agdiz copper-silver project, which consists of the 34.5 km² Agdiz license and the adjacent 15.9 km² Agdiz Est license in central Morocco.
The project is located in the highly prospective Anti-Atlas Mountains within the Draa Tafilalet region, approximately 35 km east of Ouarzazate, a well-served regional center with an airport and established infrastructure. The project enjoys excellent accessibility through pucca and kutcha roads. It is located approximately 40 km southeast of the Noor Solar Energy Complex, one of the world’s largest renewable energy facilities.
Agdis is located within Morocco’s highly prospective Anti-Atlas Belt, a stable and well-established mining jurisdiction with growing strategic importance for copper supplies.
The Agdis project is located within a well-established copper-silver mining district, approximately 14 km south-west of the Bouscor copper-silver mine (19 Mt at 1.44% Cu and 12 g/t Ag measured and indicated and 9 Mt at 1.61% Cu proven and probable).1) and within trucking distance of existing mining infrastructure. World class emitter silver mine (192 M oz Ag measured and indicated and 152 M oz Ag proven and probable)2) is located approximately 80 km north-east of the project, both operations are owned by Managem Group. While mineralization at neighboring deposits is not necessarily indicative of mineralization in the AGDs, their presence underlines the district-scale potential of the Anti-Atlas Belt.

About Eterion PLC
Aeterion PLC is an LSE-listed exploration and development company with a diverse African portfolio of critical metals projects.
Aterion PLC is actively seeking to acquire and develop new critical metals resources to strengthen its existing asset base, as well as support ethical and sustainable supply chains as the world transitions to a sustainable, renewable future. The supply of these metals is vital to the development of the renewable energy, automotive and electronic manufacturing sectors, which are increasingly important in reducing carbon emissions and meeting global climate ambitions.
Aterian has a portfolio of several copper-silver (+gold) and base-metal projects in Morocco. Eterion holds a 90% stake in Atlantis Metals, a private Botswana-registered company that holds eleven mineral prospecting licenses for copper-silver in the world-famous Kalahari Copperbelt and three licenses for lithium and salt brine exploration in the Makgadikgadi Pans area. The company also holds an exploration license in southern Rwanda, where it is evaluating tantalum and niobium opportunities in addition to exploring pegmatite-hosted lithium.
The Company’s strategy is to seek new exploration and production opportunities across the African continent and to develop new sources of significant mineral assets for exploration, development and trading.
