Kendra Duggar’s family finally breaks their silence on the arrest of their son-in-law Joseph Duggar on child molestation charges.
The internet personality’s parents, Paul and Christina Caldwell, shared an emotional statement on social media, expressing their support for Joseph’s alleged victim as well as the couple’s four children.
“Our family is distressed and saddened by the alleged actions of our son-in-law,” the family said in a statement. “We are devastated for that young girl, a child who was courageous in every way to share her truth. We stand with her in both support and prayers, and always will.”
The statement continued, “Our love for this child remains at the forefront of our family’s priorities and minds. We are proud of him for being strong enough to share his story as well as maintain his identity and happiness.”
Paul and Christina said they were praying for all victims to be “courageous” like Joseph’s accusers.
“At the same time, we recognize how traumatic this event has been for our grandchildren as well and we will continue to pray for their strength,” the Caldwells wrote. “Our love for him and our daughter Kendra continues.”
He added, “We believe in a God who is just and loving. He loves all of His children, especially the weak and innocent.”
The statement concluded, “The only way to freedom is to shine light in the darkness. And at this moment, a portion of the light in our lives has come through the love and prayers of people near and far.” “Thank you for giving in all ways, through prayer, finances, time, energy and words of encouragement. We love you all.”
It is noteworthy here that Joseph was arrested on March 28 and accused of molesting a victim below 12 years of age.
However, the TV personality was later released after posting a $1,470 bond.
