Kohli spoke openly on fitness related concerns
Despite his match-winning contribution, Kohli revealed that he is still struggling with fitness problems. Speaking after the game, the RCB legend admitted that he has been struggling physically over the last few days.
He told that he had pain in his knee in the last match and he was also feeling unwell recently. However, he expressed satisfaction with his performance against LSG, particularly his intensity and initiation at the crease. Kohli also mentioned that although he was happy with his effort, he would have preferred to stay till the end and finish the game himself – highlighting his current hunger for perfection.
“(How did it feel tonight?) Much better than the last game. I’m still not 100%. I had a little pain in my knee in the last game. Even health-wise, I’ve been in this season for the last four or five days. So, just getting back to playing my best. I started well today, so I was happy with my intensity. Again, would love to continue and finish the game.” Kohli said while talking to the broadcasters after the game.
