Celine Dion is finally back!
The iconic singer makes a special comeback as she releases her first original song in years.
The track Danson, written by longtime collaborator Jean-Jacques Goldman, was released on 17 April, along with a music video.
“It was 2020. The world was stopping and yet people were confined to their homes and dancing,” Goldman said in the statement.
He said, “Six years later, the virus is gone, but not a word needs to be changed, the world is not spinning smoothly anymore, and we are still dancing ‘over the abyss’.”
On Instagram, Celine Dion shared a teaser of the music video for her track, writing, The official video for “Let’s Dance” is now online. Link is in bio.
“Thank you to Esther Abrami, Lola Dubiny, Victoria Dauberville and Matthew Forget for participating,” he said.
Dion announced in March that she would return to the stage for a five-week residency in Paris, her first major performance since announcing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis, in December 2022.
Specifically, he is set to play 16 shows at the La Defense Arena between September and October 2026.
