Displaced family returns home after ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon
Ghia Hajo, 25, returned to her home in Tyre, a city in southern Lebanon that Israel has bombed with attacks, after a 10-day ceasefire was declared.

When I heard about the ceasefire I didn’t know what to feel? Because on one hand, I was happy that I was going back. But on the other hand, I was scared. There is a fear that it may not be real. So basically, it’s the Qasmiyeh River there. The Lebanese Army has repaired the road here. This is an old road for us to pass through. This is our only road back to the south of Lebanon and especially to Tyre. This is our land. So we’re not afraid to come back, even though we know it’s not 100 percent safe. So I’m a little surprised. But at the same time, I know we can get through this. I want to clean my room so I can sleep in my bed. Today I am, hopefully, going to sleep in my bed in the south of Lebanon. Thank God my house is still standing.
