BTS is a South Korean group that has taken the current media landscape by storm, and one of its members, J-Hope, has just talked about what his thoughts are about stopping everything while they’re still on top, rather than waiting until the hype is over.
He shared everything during an interview with Rolling Stone. Their conversation took off after he started talking about his solo track arson And its lyrics contemplate the idea, “Should I put out the fire, or burn even brighter?”
In reference to the disbandment he said, “Well, though… now that some time has passed, I realize it’s probably not something I can stop just because I want to stop it.”
“Personally, I’m very influenced by the people around me, so I have to think about whether I can handle the emotional impact my decisions can have on many other people. I’ve struggled with that.”
But “in the end, I felt like keeping the flame burning is what I really want, and the choice that feels most authentic to me.”
As far as the song itself, he said, “When I was writing that song in 2022, I put all my emotions into what I was feeling at that time.”
He also took a short trip down memory lane to remember everything and admitted, “At the time, I was worried. I thought: Is it really a good thing to get all this love and attention? Maybe I should turn it all off when everyone is clapping and cheering for me.”
“But I think I’ve changed a lot since then. Because it’s all just a part of me. And through it all, whether working with the group or in my personal career, I’m experiencing a lot of life and learning from everything.” Especially because “there are things you can only feel at a certain time in your life.”
That’s why before concluding he also admitted, “At the end of the day, that’s how you live, grow, and become an adult. I think that’s a lot of what I’ve felt during that time and making music since.”
