So what’s actually coming? Samsung has adapted Advanced Audio Eraser, Creative Studio, and Advanced Photo Assist for the S25 series – features the company debuted with the Galaxy S26 in February. Call Screening, the S26’s flagship AI feature that lets AI-generated voices answer incoming calls and transcribe callers’ responses, rounds out the headlines. This is a meaningful step forward from where things were a few weeks ago. As we reported, Samsung confirmed on its community forums that the S26 AI features will be coming to the S25. However, at that time, no specific features had been verified in actual construction. Finding them in this type of late stage test build means they have cleared internal development and are ready to ship.
The stable One UI 8.5 rollout for the S25 series in South Korea is expected to begin on April 30, with the global rollout for S25 users expected to happen a week later on May 4. These dates have not been officially confirmed by Samsung, but were noted by a Samsung support agent a few days ago. The maturity of the software currently being built in testing also supports this expected timeline.
