uber On Friday agreed to buy an additional 4.5% shares of the German food delivery firm Delivery Hero From the company’s largest shareholder process.
Prosus’ total gross income is approximately 270 million euros ($318 million), the company said. Uber will pay 20 euros per share, less than Delivery Hero’s Thursday closing price after the stock rose 7%. However, this is a 22% premium to the 1-month average share price, Prosus said.
The move follows Prosus offering a deal to buy the European food delivery giant last year Just Eat Takeaway.com For 4.1 billion euros. However, that acquisition ran into scrutiny from the European Commission, the EU’s executive branch, which said it would approve the deal if Prosus significantly reduced its stake in Delivery Hero.
“Prosus is committed to sell the relevant portion of its stake in Delivery Hero within the required time frame,” the company said in a press release on Friday.
