Andrea Hewitt quashes Vinod Kambli’s health rumors
Andrea has strongly rejected claims that Kambli’s life is in danger. Addressing the situation directly, he assured fans that the former cricketer is stable and not facing any serious health crisis as is being reported.
“By the grace of God, Vinod is fine. I don’t know who is spreading misinformation about his health,” He told journalist Vicky Lalwani.
His reaction comes as a strong response to recent reports that paint a grim picture of Kambli’s health. While he acknowledged that the 54-year-old has battled medical problems in recent years, he insisted that the current situation is being blown out of proportion. According to him, Kambli is not in immediate danger and the panic over his condition is largely unfounded.
Andrea’s clarification has come as a great relief to fans who were expecting something untoward. In an age where information spreads rapidly, his statement was a reminder of how quickly misinformation can grow, especially when it involves public figures.
Concerns over Kambli’s health intensified following statements by his close friend and former first-class umpire Marcus Couto. Couto revealed that the cricketer has been battling a brain clot since he was admitted to hospital in Thane about 18 months ago.
“Since Kambli was admitted to the hospital in Thane about 18 months ago, he has had a clot in his brain. His memory is not good. He remembers things and then forgets about them. It is all because of that clot in his brain.” Kuto said.
He further explained that although Kambli has made efforts to improve his lifestyle – such as giving up alcohol – some habits, such as occasional smoking, remain a cause for concern. Medical advice, particularly from neurosurgeon Adil Chagla, has strongly warned against such practices due to the increased risk of stroke.
Despite these challenges, there are encouraging signs in Kambli’s recovery. Couto said he recently appeared in a commercial and is able to walk with the help of a cane. These updates indicate that although his journey has not been easy, he is slowly making progress.
