    Introduction

Vivo has decided to change things up a bit with the V series this year, at least as far as the naming is concerned. The flagship device in the lineup arguably remains the vanilla V70, but now, the phone above it is called the V70 Elite, while the phone directly below it is called the V70 FE. We’re looking at the latter today.

The V70 FE is slightly downgraded compared to its sibling, mainly in the camera department, where the periscope telephoto camera is missing. There’s also a slightly less powerful chipset inside the FE.

Vivo V70 FE specs at a glance:

    • Body: 163.7×76.2×7.6mm, 200g; Glass front, plastic frame, plastic rear; IP68/IP69 dust resistant and water resistant (high pressure water jets; submersible up to 1.5 meters for 2 hours).
    • Display: 6.83″ AMOLED, 1B color, 120Hz, HDR10+, 1900 nits (HBM), 1260x2800px resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 449ppi.
    • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo (4 nm): Octa-core (4×2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55); Mali-G615 MC2.
    • Memory: 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 8GB RAM; UFS 3.1.
    • OS/Software: Android 16, OriginOS 6.
    • rear camera: wide (main): 200 MP, f/1.9, 24mm, 1/1.56″, PDAF, OIS; ultra wide angle: 8 MP, f/2.2, 120-degree, 1/4.0″.
    • Front Camera: 32 MP, f/2.2, 22mm (wide), 1/3.1″, 0.7µm.
    • video capture: rear camera:4K, 1080p, Gyro-EIS, OIS; front camera: 4K, 1080p.
    • Battery: 7000mAh; 90W wired, 100% in 60 minutes, reverse wired, bypass charging.
    • Connectivity: 5G; WiFi; BT 5.4; NFC; Infrared port.
    • various: Fingerprint reader (under the display, optical); Stereo speaker.

The V70 FE, on the other hand, has a larger display than the regular model and is, logically, physically larger as well, with a larger 7,000 mAh Si/C battery. Also, the bill of materials is slightly different, but that’s a less important detail in our book.

    Vivo V70 FE Review

Overall, you’re still getting the same experience as the regular V70, but at a lower price, which is always welcome for some potential buyers.

    unbox

The Vivo V70 FE comes in a black cardboard box consisting of two pieces. It is very strong and provides complete protection to the phone.

    Vivo V70 FE Review

The V70 FE has a solid accessory package – at least the unit we received, which appears to be made for Thailand. Our retail box came with a 90W charger and a USB Type-A to Type-C cable. Make sure you keep an eye on both if you want the fastest charging speeds possible.

Plus there’s a nice transparent TPU case in the box, so you can start using your shiny new phone right away, worry-free.
