Yes, the cost per wear is worth it, and yes, regular LED facials will cost you far more at the clinic, but it’s still a pretty penny. So, when a Little When Therabody’s more affordable LED mask arrived on my desk, I was curious to see if it would hold up to its more luxury competitors. After just two weeks of testing, I can’t imagine ever using another LED mask again.
I’ll be honest, I usually like to wait a while before reviewing high-tech skin care devices like these, as it can take months of consistent use to see visible results. That being said, thanks to the incredible technology in this LED mask, after 14 days of use, it has already become a favorite product (yes, I’ve already received compliments on my skin), so I had to write about it immediately.
What is Therabody Theraface Mask Glow?
I’ll be completely honest with you, although I was familiar with Therabody (I swear by the brand’s massage gun), I had never heard of this LED mask before the sample arrived on my desk. then what is it? As the name suggests, this mask is designed to help you get your glow back. While most masks provide red color LED Light Therapy, this mask features red and blue light settings along with massage technology to increase circulation and relieve stress.

Features of LED Mask
LED Light: As mentioned, this mask combines red, infrared, and blue light technology. It has 633 nm (nanometer) red light, 830 nm infrared and 415 nm blue light. While red light can help stimulate By stimulating collagen and elastin (which in turn makes skin supple and firm), blue light is known to help fight acne-causing bacteria.
Mask: While some LED masks are made of flexible silicone, this mask has a more rigid design. That being said, I found that it covered the entire face. Plus, it has an impressive 504 LED lights to ensure even distribution on the skin. The best part is that it is cordless, meaning you can wear it hands-free.
Straps: The mask comes with two separate adjustable straps, one that sits behind the head and one that secures the mask at the top. When the massage function is on, you feel it on the side of your head throughout the strap.
Settings: While the mask comes with a preset treatment time of 12 minutes (four minutes for each light), you can also choose a shorter treatment of four minutes. Additionally, you can use the massage setting on its own, making it a great facial massager as well.

I have to say, at £299, this is one of the most impressive LED masks I’ve tried. I usually look for more expensive models, but since testing this out this has become my new go-to. I like the fact that it offers both blue and red light, and the added massage feature is a pleasant experience to use at the end of a long day. I thought I would like a four-minute treatment time, but I’m actually using a 12-minute treatment. I think it’s because the mask is hands-free, meaning I can spend my evening wearing it. The fact that it can change from red to infrared and then to blue light even without me having to press a button made it very handy (as you can see above, if you want to quickly move on to the next treatment, you can press a button on the side to move things along).
As I said in the beginning, I’ve only been using it for two weeks, so I can’t comment though Very On top of the visible difference in my skin, I’ve noticed a reduction in breakouts (yes, an LED mask can be one of these). If I Was To find some cons, one thing I would say is that the eye shields may leave some marks around the eyes after the treatment. However, they disappear after a few minutes. Another thing is that the design is quite heavy, so I wouldn’t recommend traveling with this mask unless you have a lot of space in your suitcase. Besides, I can’t fault it.

I know I’ve talked about it at length, but I really want to highlight how this mask is different from others, because that’s really what makes the price so impressive. While some masks feature red and infrared lighting, this mask offers red, infrared, and blue lighting LED technology, allowing it to tackle a wide range of skin care concerns. Not only that, but it’s the only mask I’ve ever tried that has a massage setting, making it a dream to use. Full-face coverage is also impressive, and although there are some hands-free designs out there, this is one of them. Affordable skin care tools available in the market. Don’t get me wrong, £299 is still a big investment, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless I believe it’s really worth it.
