And like the Disney character, she got to enjoy the best of both her worlds, being a businesswoman and a singer-songwriter.

Comparing her life to the character played by popstar Miley Cyrus, Lainey told People, “I have to be the songwriter and the businesswoman, and then I have to take off the hat every now and then and be Lainey’s sister, friend, daughter, fiancee.”
“It’s a good balance right now,” she said.
Several clips of her acting as Hannah are included in her upcoming Netflix doc, Lanny Wilson: Keeping Country Cool, Which will be released on 22nd April.
“It’s weird that we’re bringing out this documentary, and it shows a little bit of my Hannah Montana journey, and then Miley does a Hannah-versary. It feels so random,” Lainey said, referring to Hannah Montana’s 20th anniversary special.

“Miley knows about my Hannah Montana trip,” Lainey shared, noting Miley’s reaction to her Hannah Montana impersonation, saying she “absolutely” loved it.
“I told her that impersonating Hannah really showed me, like, ‘Okay, if you want it, if you want to do it not as Hannah Montana but as yourself, you’ve got to get it,’ I wasn’t really old enough to drive, but I was going to Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and trying to play in front of whoever I possibly could.”
And Lainey said the struggle “really taught her a lot”.
Laney recalled, “It taught me that it wasn’t going to be easy, but it was going to be fun.”
