The Toronto Blue Jays are facing another injury concern after Daulton Varsho was ruled out of Friday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks due to left knee discomfort.
According to the team’s announcement, Warshaw left the game in the third inning after recording one at-bat and playing two innings in center field. He was replaced defensively by Miles Straw.
Manager John Schneider told reporters after the game that the issue was related to Varsho’s knee problem.
He said the outfielder is considered day-to-day and will not undergo imaging.
Varsho was in strong form before the game. The 29-year-old has battled injuries in recent seasons, including shoulder and hamstring problems in 2025, but he still managed to hit 20 home runs in 71 games.
His latest setback has further heightened the Blue Jays’ injury concerns, with key players including George Springer, Addison Barger and Alejandro Kirk already sidelined.
Toronto will now be hoping that Varsho’s issue is minor as the team continues to impress early in the season.
