Delhi Capitals fast bowler Mukesh Kumar was taken off the field by the physio after he missed a fielding attempt, causing a serious injury to the lining of his nose. His serious injury status can be updated till the end of the match, as it doesn’t look like it might bother the DC seamer too much.
Delhi Capitals have taken control of Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of the fiercest batting units in this edition of the IPL. The defending champions have been one of the highest-scoring teams in this edition of the tournament.
However, Delhi Capitals bowlers went on a rampage at RCB’s home ground, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is also known as one of the highest scoring venues in the country. Injured fast bowler Mukesh Kumar played a big role.
Mukesh Kumar out due to serious injury: Is danger looming for DC seamer?
DC seamer Mukesh Kumar suffered a serious injury during the 18th over of the game between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The bowler has played an important role with the ball for the Capitals so far.
Mukesh Kumar was fielding at short third man, and Jitesh Sharma was caught in the field when he tried to slash a wide, slower ball from Lungi Ngidi. He tried to catch the ball by diving, but ended up hurting his nose.
The physio arrived immediately, and the fast bowler, who had completed his quota of four overs, walked off the field and may have to be taken off and replaced by an impressive player. An update on his injury status is awaited from the DC unit.
