Severe storms are expected to hit parts of the US Midwest, with forecasters warning of more dangerous weather after several days of tornadoes and flooding.
The National Weather Service said storms could extend from northwest Oklahoma to western Missouri Friday afternoon and evening.
The system can produce large hail, with stones potentially reaching the size of baseballs.
The agency warned that hail could hit speeds of up to 107 mph and advised residents to stay indoors and away from windows during the severe weather.
According to CNN, about 26 million people from Wisconsin to Oklahoma are under a tornado watch.
The outlet also reported that a rare “particularly dangerous conditions” warning was issued for two tornadoes, one in Illinois and one in Wisconsin.
There have already been reports of damage due to the storm in many states. Critical conditions have arisen after a week of extreme weather in the region.
