Eight children were killed in a horrific shooting at two houses by a gunman in Louisiana, USA. Authorities say the young victims, who ranged in age from one to 14, were killed in a “domestic disturbance” around 6 a.m. Sunday. A total of 10 people were shot, Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith said.
Authorities said they are still gathering details about the crime scene, which spans three locations in the Cedar Grove neighborhood. Mr Smith said that after first leaving the scene, the shooter carried out a carjacking as patrol officers pursued him before he was shot.
He said: “This morning officers responded to a shooting that occurred just after 6 a.m. and determined it was a domestic call. Right now we have at least 10 individuals who were killed by gunfire in a domestic disturbance.”
