The Ontario Tower Buzzers, a Single-A Dodgers affiliate, played their first home opener on April 2, losing 7–5 to the Lake Elsinore Storm at the new $100 million, 6,500-seat Ontario Field. The aviation-themed stadium hosted festivities including a flyover, a ribbon cutting and a performance in which pitcher Brady Smith threw out the first pitch.
