Adobe recently launched a suite of artificial intelligence AI tools to facilitate everyday tasks at the corporate level.
As one of the hottest creative suites was announced on Monday, Adobe has launched new advanced AI tools to help corporate customers automate and personalize digital marketing tasks, in a move to fend off competition from autonomous tools offered by startups like Anthropic.
The rise of AI tools capable of automating an increasing number of human tasks is putting pressure on companies like Adobe and its peers, a selloff in software stocks, as investors view the threat posed by offerings from Anthropic and OpenAI.
As the news broke, Adobe shares were up 2.2% in morning trading.
Additionally, as of the last close, the stock has fallen nearly 30% so far this year.
Experts believe that shares of Adobe, Figma have fallen due to fears of AI disruption. Adobe said the new suite, called CX Enterprise, uses AI agents to help businesses manage how they interact with customers.
The design software maker is also working with several technology companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Nvidia, to ensure that its new AI system works across different platforms.
Notably, the news comes after Anthropic on Friday unveiled Cloud Design, an experimental feature that allows users to create visuals like prototypes, slide decks, and one-page documents using its chatbot.
