Asia-Pacific markets were set to open higher on Tuesday amid hopes for a resolution to the Middle East conflict, although tensions between Iran and the US continued.
“Trump, by imposing the siege and violating the ceasefire, wants to turn this negotiating table – in his imagination – into a table of surrender or to justify a renewed war,” Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said in a statement. Post.

President Donald Trump threatened Iran with massive military force after saying on Monday that “a lot of bombs will start going off” if a deal is not reached before a shaky ceasefire with Tehran expires Tuesday evening.
The threats come as a US delegation prepares to return to Pakistan for a possible second round of peace talks.
